As Nigeria accelerates investment in industrialisation, urban development and critical infrastructure, Schneider Electric’s electrical and automation business, Lauritz Knudsen Electrical & Automation, is stepping up efforts to position itself in one of Africa’s fastest‑growing markets for industrial technology.
The company recently brought together distributors, electrical contractors, consultants, system integrators and other industry professionals in Lagos to strengthen collaboration and showcase electrical distribution and automation technologies aimed at supporting Nigeria’s evolving infrastructure needs.
The engagement comes as demand grows for smarter, more resilient electrical systems across manufacturing, healthcare, commercial real estate, utilities and data centres, sectors that are increasingly embracing digitalisation and energy‑efficient operations.
Nigeria, home to more than 240 million people, remains Africa’s largest economy and one of its biggest infrastructure markets. Ongoing investments in industrial development, coupled with reforms in the power sector and broader digital transformation across industries, are creating opportunities for advanced electrical distribution and energy management technologies.

Speaking at the event in Lagos, Head of Strategy, Business Development, Pricing and LK Middle East and Africa at Lauritz Knudsen Electrical & Automation, Dallal Slimani, said partnerships would be central to meeting the region’s growing demand for electrification and digital infrastructure.
