US President Donald Trump has renewed his endorsement of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, urging Israelis to vote for him in the upcoming election and describing him as an “outstanding Warrior Prime Minister”.
In a post on Truth Social on Sunday, October 25, Trump repeated his support for Netanyahu, saying the two leaders had worked together in military operations against Iran and should continue their efforts.
“Vote for Bibi Netanyahu for Prime Minister, we have to finish the job that we started!” Trump wrote, referring to the Israeli leader by his nickname.
Trump cited US and Israeli military operations against Iran, claiming they had severely weakened the country’s military and economy. His statements about Iran’s military capabilities and economic condition were claims made by the US president and were not independently verified in the post.
The endorsement comes ahead of Israel’s parliamentary election, scheduled for October 27. Netanyahu’s campaign has placed national security and the confrontation with Iran at the centre of its messaging.
Trump had first publicly endorsed Netanyahu on October 18, praising his leadership and describing him as a strong partner in confronting Iran. His renewed statement came amid reports that Netanyahu had sought additional public support from the US president. Likud, Netanyahu’s party, denied that he had asked Trump for further endorsements.
The US president’s intervention adds an international dimension to Israel’s election campaign, highlighting the close relationship between the two leaders and the importance they place on their joint approach to Iran.
The latest endorsement also follows months of heightened tensions in the Middle East, with military operations and diplomatic disagreements continuing to shape regional security.
TheDailyNewsHub previously reported on oil prices rising amid renewed fears of attacks in the Strait of Hormuz, a development that has highlighted the wider economic consequences of tensions involving Iran.
