The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), has debunked a fake recruitment notice circulating on social media and warned Nigerians against falling victim to misinformation and fraudsters.
In a public advisory issued on Wednesday, the Service clarified that the purported recruitment update did not originate from the NCS and should be disregarded.
The NCS urged members of the public to obtain authentic information only through its verified communication channels, stressing that any genuine recruitment exercise would be duly announced on its official platforms.
The Service advised citizens to remain vigilant and verify information before sharing it, noting that fake recruitment announcements are often used to defraud unsuspecting job seekers.
“The public is advised to disregard any recruitment information not published on our official platforms. The NCS will not be liable for any loss incurred as a result of engaging with fraudulent sources,” the Service stated.
