As part of its Civil-Military Cooperation activities, Headquarters Sector 3, Operation HADIN KAI/Multinational Joint Task Force, OPHK/MNJTF, has donated educational materials to selected schools in Monguno Local Government Area of Borno State.
The donation was made on Friday, August 8, 2026, is aimed at supporting education, strengthening community resilience, and deepening the partnership between the military and civilian populace.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Acting Military Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI, Captain Mohammed Goni.
According to the statement, the intervention forms part of the Sector’s non-kinetic efforts to complement ongoing military operations and address identified community needs.
Presenting the materials, the Sector Commander, Brigadier General Shehu Ahmed, represented by the Commander Sector 3 Garrison, Brigadier General Ikechukwu Ogundele, said education remains fundamental to sustainable development and community resilience.
He reaffirmed the Sector’s commitment to supporting people-oriented initiatives that contribute to peace and stability in the North East.
Brigadier General Ogundele added that such interventions foster greater understanding, trust and cooperation between the military and host communities, which are essential to sustaining peace and security.
Receiving the materials on behalf of Monguno Local Government Authority, Mr. Babagana Modu Kur expressed appreciation to Sector 3 OPHK/MNJTF for the gesture.
He commended the Sector for supporting educational development and assured that the materials would be equitably distributed to the benefiting schools for maximum impact.
He also acknowledged the efforts of the Nigerian military in restoring peace and normalcy to Borno State.
The donation is part of ongoing Civil-Military Cooperation activities by Headquarters Sector 3 OPHK/MNJTF to support community needs and strengthen engagement with host communities within its Area of Responsibility.
