The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has inaugurated its Kaduna State Presidential Campaign Committee and the Kaduna ADCSG Collegiate Management Council under the PCC Directorate of Support Groups, vowing to build a united, results-oriented structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The event, which took place in Kaduna, was chaired by the ADC chairman from 2022 to 2026, Hon. Ahmed Tijjani Mustapha, who declared that there is no disunity in the party and insisted that the ADC remains one united family.
Mustapha said the committee is a support group under the presidential campaign committee, explaining that every state is expected to have a presidential campaign structure to drive the party’s victory.
According to him, the Kaduna State Campaign Committee was officially inaugurated and would begin work immediately, continuing day and night until after the elections.
He said winning elections requires implementing an effective strategy, and one of the best strategies is to have a support group that will canvass door to door, house to house, and from village to village to secure votes and promote peaceful elections.
Addressing claims of polarization, the former state chairman likened the coalition that brought members from the NNPP, APC, PDP, and other parties into the ADC in 2025 to different television networks operating under different codes of conduct. He noted that friction is natural, but the party remains one.
In his inaugural speech, the newly appointed chairman of the Kaduna ADCSG Collegiate Management Council, PCC Directorate of Support Groups, ADC, Hon. (Dr.) Abdul-Malik Rabiu Jaafar, FMNES, FCILRM, said he accepted the responsibility to lead the council with profound humility, sincere gratitude, and an abiding sense of duty.
Jaafar expressed his deepest appreciation to the director of support groups of the Presidential Campaign Council, Hon. Aliyu Audu, for the confidence reposed in him through the appointment.
He also acknowledged and commended the team leads for all support groups, Engr. Issah Musa, and the team lead for registration, Hon. Sani Musa Abubakar, Directorate of Support Groups, PCC, for their exemplary leadership, steadfast support, and unwavering commitment to strengthening the Directorate of Support Groups.
The new chairman also extended his profound gratitude to the leadership of the African Democratic Congress, particularly the Kaduna State Party Chairman, Hon. Ahmed Tijjani Mustapha, as well as to all distinguished leaders and stakeholders of the party, members of the PCC Directorate of Support Groups, fellow members of the Kaduna ADCSG Collegiate Management Council, and coordinators of the various support groups.
He said the appointment is not merely a position of honor but a call to service, sacrifice, unity, and results. He assured members that he fully understands the responsibility and will work diligently with everyone to strengthen structures and advance collective objectives.
According to him, his leadership will be guided by unity, inclusiveness, discipline, accountability, and effective grassroots mobilization, with every support group respected and every member having a sense of belonging.
Jaafar said the council’s mission is clear: to bring all ADC support groups in Kaduna State under a coordinated, results-oriented framework; strengthen communication between leadership and grassroots members; promote peaceful political engagement; and prepare structures for the important political tasks ahead.
He therefore called on all members to put aside personal differences, embrace teamwork, and remain committed to the collective interest of the party. He stressed that no single individual can accomplish the task alone and that the party’s strength lies in unity and organization.
The chairman assured the leadership of the PCC Directorate of Support Groups that the Kaduna ADCSG Collegiate Management Council would strive to be a model of commitment, transparency, and effective coordination. He noted that titles or positions would not measure success, but by performance, the strength of structures, and the impact of collective efforts.
He emphasized that leadership is about service and that true success comes when members work together toward a common goal.
Jaafar thanked all members for their support and confidence and pledged to provide purposeful leadership and work hand in hand with every stakeholder, including Engr. Issah Musa and Hon. Sani Musa Abubakar, to move the council forward.
He prayed for God’s guidance for leaders, strength for the party, and peace, unity, and progress for LJKaduna State and Nigeria.
